Hello every one and every bun!
My name is Amy and I am from Prescott, Arizona. I am 19 years old, engaged to the love of my life, mommy to 3 neutered male house bunnies and 4 neutered male rats.
I am a member of another very active rabbit forum, where I used to moderate. I love forums and I love to share about my bunnies and rats.
I really look forward to talking more with Arizona bunny lovers, as I only know of a couple....timetowaste (who is on this forum) just so happens to be one of them!

You are welcome! I love my bunnies and I love sharing about them.
My mother-in-law was actually at The Bunny Basics store yesterday (Friday). She was at the airport sending family back off to Wisconsin, when I called her and asked her to stop by your store on her way back to Prescott.
I was in desperate need of lower priced Oxbow T for my babies, when I stumbled across your store minutes before I left for work. It was pure luck that she happened to be in the area and could stop by for me.
You may remember her. Are you Kelly? My MIL picked up 100lbs of Oxbow BBT. She said the lady there was super nice and friendly, and that the store was just awesome! She also brought me back the Brambley Hedge bunny care packet, it is so awesome and full of great information for any new bunny owner or curious people that come into your store.
Thank you so much for providing and excellent store for the bunnies. I hope to make a trip one day to your store. I'd better save my money, I can bet it would turn out to be one heck of a shopping spree ! _________________

Hi Amy,
I did meet your MIL. Very nice lady. I was happy to help her and I appreciate your shopping at The Bunny Basics. The proceeds from all sales goes directly to the bunnies in the shelter. The funds help pay for food, litter, hay, toys, litter boxes, grooming tools, exercise pens and medical bills.
Educating people on the proper care of rabbits is just as important to us. I am glad you liked the packet. Brambley Hedge did a great job with designing the packet. If anyone would like a care packet we would be happy to mail one or you can download at http://www.bhrabbitrescue.org/Docs/RabbitCare.pdf .
I think having a store dedicated to bunnies in Scottsdale is creating a lot of spoiled buns (just as they should be)!

I am very curious to know how the store is doing, sales-wise. If we had a bunny store here in Prescott, it would go out of business in no time.
Besides one lady in town that I met a year ago with a Holland Lop therapy rabbit, named "Bunkers", I do not know of any "bunny people".
We have a small mom & pop pet store in town, over-priced, that do carry some Oxbow products and other good things, that I would rather shop at if I needed something really quick instead of going to PetsMart or Petco....but they do sell animals (fish, reptiles, rodents, BUNNIES....grrr).
I always thought it would be amazing one day to actually open a store for rats and rabbits, with high quality products and homemade rat food mixtures. I'm still young, so maybe some day! _________________

The store is doing very well raising lots of money for the bunnies and educating people on proper bunny care. Our goal is to help as many bunnies as possible while providing a place where people can find healthy, safe, fun items for their bunnies!
Hopefully you will have your store one day!
