26 days ago we found a lop eared bunny in our back yard. We brought her in from the rain and have attempted to give her a new home. Yesterday I thought I would give her a comfy place to sleep so I put a box in her enclosure with a towel in the bottom of it. the kids carved holes in the sides of the box so it would be like a tunnel. this morning when I went down to feed her I saw that she had filled the box with her fur. Does this mean she is pregnant? From looking at her I can't tell. She does not appear to have a large belly.

Its possible she is pregnant. They will also pull hair in a false pregnancy also. Take her to a vet and have her xrayed or have the vet feel her. When they start pulling hair its usually a week out to have the kits. Mkae her comfotable and give her lots of water and timothy hay its very important to their diet and to prepare for the babies. She will use the hay to make a nest also. Get a nesting box that she will be cozy in and large enough to feed her babies in.

Oh yeah most of the time you can't tell if they are pregnant especially if she only has 2-4 inside her.

Thank you so much for giving her a new, loving home. Pulling hair can definitely be a sign a pregnancy as Chuck has stated. If you are not very familiar with rabbits it can be hard to discern if she is pregnant by looking at her or feeling her belly.

The best thing is to bring her to a rabbit savvy vet. In the meantime Chuck gave wonderful advice on how to make her as comfortable as possible. Here are some links that may be helpful to you:
