In addition to the 2 domestic baby bunnies, ABN also saved a little baby cottontail. This little bunny found himself in a pool drain with water so high he could barely keep him head above the water. The quick thinking of one of our members kept him warm as he handed him off to another one of members who took him to orphan care at a wildlife rescue.
Thank you to Rick and Tracy for saving this little baby bunny!

We were called again this morning for some more domestic rabbits in the same area as yesterday. We picked up three more, bringing the total to five. Here is a picture of them:
How anyone could look at these tiny little faces and then dump them in a field in 113 degree weather is beyond me. They are now safe and happy. We have even had binkies and bunny flops today. They eat for about 20 minutes and sleep for about 5 minutes and then back to eating again. They seem pretty healthy considering what they have been through.
If you are in the area stop by The Bunny Basics to say hi to them. They will be here for a few days until they go into foster care.

AWWW!! They are totally CUTE
Its beyond me too, how people can just simply dump those cute little guys!! There is just TOO many ppl like that out there!! a..holes!!
At least you were able to get those cuties in to safety!! I'm glad you were able to "catch" them!!
The little gray one on the left is REALLY REALLY cute...
If I could, tho, I'd scoop 'em ALL up, hehe...
I wish I could stop by to hug them!!
PLEASE give them ALL a big *HUG* from me!!

| How can anyone be so cruel as to dump babies bunnies in a field. In 110 degree temps at that! Some people just disgust me!
