Our April Bunny of the Month is Amaretta. Amaretta is about 1 1/2 years old. She is a Tan and Black Satin Mix and weighs about 5 lbs. Amaretta and her four siblings were an unexpected bonus when Brambley Hedge Rabbit Rescue took in their mom Gypsy and a litter of four tiny babies in mid-November 2006. They were not aware Gypsy was pregnant again and gave birth to 5 more gorgeous babies one month later in mid-December 2006.

Amaretta spent her few months in loving foster care, found a home for a few months and is back at the shelter again. She is a very beautiful, healthy girl who just loves to come out to play. She is looking for an active home who will give her lots of playtime and attention. All of her siblings and her Mom have all gone to loving homes leaving Amaretta waiting for her special person to come along.

UGH your description HURTS ME cause her whole family found homes!!! I just want to snatch her up and run!!! I hope she finds her forever person ASAP, poor baby girl!

I thought Wiley was going to be our april bun-o-da-month!?

Rick's birthday is in April and he asked if he could choose April's Bunny of the Month since it is his birthday month so we let him choose. It took him 3 days to decide because he wants them all to find homes. Each time I asked him who he said a different bunny. I finally had to tell him this is your final decision so I could post the bunny. Smile

Amaretta had a home for about 2 months and then was brought back to the shelter because her new family didn't have the time for her. Sad

She has been back at the shelter for about 4-5 months. He was there the day she came back and has felt so bad for her since that day he really wanted her to be April's Bun of the Month.

Wiley is super special as well and hopefully we can find his forever family this month as well!

Oh poor Amaretta!!! We will all hope and pray that her forever family walks in on Saturday, sees her magnificence and whisks her away to a beautiful life with lots of love and bunny happiness!!!!

Well I think that that is a wonderful reason why Amaretta is bun-o-da-month. She is SO beautiful! Is she coming this Saturday to the event? I'm so excited to be there for another good time! We always have such a blast, and I love playing with all of the bunnies and watching them one by one get wonderful new homes!

amy, wiley is even more beautiful in person! he is a pretty big bunny boy!!! you would LOVE him to pieces even more if you saw him!!

Our beautiful little Amaretta needs to get adopted this month! She is the bunny o' the month so all of you who have friends that are considering adopting an amazing bunny, tell them all about Amaretta! She's even more lovely in person and has the personality to match!

We love Amaretta and are saying happy bunny prayers that her perfect family walks in the door on May 3rd to whisk her away to her beautiful and blessed life as a spoiled bunny! If anyone deserves that, it's Amaretta!!!!!

It's almost May! Are we switching bunnies of the month (I think we should keep Amaretta though, and here's why)?

I think this time around Amaretta needs to be at all of the adoption events and needs to be in a pen with a posterboard by her that says "AMARETTA - MAY BUNNY OF THE MONTH!" with cute little hearts and stars and stuff. Sometimes people come in to see rabbits without knowing who they will end up taking home, or without even really browsing through to see who we have. This will draw people to her and I bet she will be snatched up as painfully adorable!!!!!

Does this sound like a good idea to anyone else!?!?!?

Yes it does and here is why...

I wrote a long bio about Chad and Kelly had it, along with the picture I took of him, up on his pen during the adoption event when...

HE GOT ADOPTED!

Let's do it! Let's give Amaretta another chance and even if she isn't the bun o' the month, we can take a really nice pic of her, you can spend some extra time with her getting to know her personality and we can write a little bio for her. It will definitely make a difference.

Wiley needs one too! Smile

That is just fine. I think for May we will have co-Bunnies of the Month. Amaretta and ????. I will post tonight. I was at the shelter last night delivering hay and a certain little someone begged me for the title (or it could have been the treats I brought for everyone)! Very Happy
